Me and Scooter… she’s been my best buddy for 10 years. I think pets are the best, whether you have a dog or cat; parrot or goldfish, or… whatever.

Scooter had a litter of puppies after a one-time only “accidental assignation” in Central Park, with a six-month old, all white, Shih-Tzu puppy. As we walked home I wondered, “Has my dog been hanging around soap operas so long, that doing it just once will get her pregnant?” The answer was yes.

My first-born son Nicholas with my first “Grand-dog” Lefty… with Scooter at his feet. I was worried when Nick said he wanted a pit-bull, I asked, “What about their bad reputation? And who will watch him when you’re away?” Nick said, “The dogs aren’t the problem, it’s the owners.”

He studied up on how to train large dogs, and here’s just one of the great results. Scooter is probably thinking, “Awesome jump Lefty!”. We are all in my Bel Air, California garden.

Me, my younger son Benjamin, with Scooter and my second “Grand-dog” Hank. Hank was rescued from a Texas shelter. He was to be put down in 2 days. Ben takes great pleasure in the fact that people stop him on the street and tell him what a beautiful dog Hank is. Ben proudly tells them, he is a rescue dog.

Me and Scooter with our darling new family member, mini-maltese, Bisou (which means “kiss” in French). The two gorgeous ladies visiting me in my New York garden, are two Parisian pals, Beverly and Nancy.
